高校要重视培养大学生的社会责任感

Colleges and Universities Should Attach Great Importance to the Cultivation of Social Responsibility

社会责任是一个社会人应该对社会承担的使命、职责、义务。社会的进步和发展,正是以每个人出色地完成社会责任为基础的。当代大学生除了应当承担起普通社会成员对社会应尽的责任之外,还对社会负有更多的特殊的责任:一是承担着发展中国先进生产力的责任,二是承担着推动发展先进文化的责任。大学生的社会责任感是新世纪民族复兴的要求,如果高校培养的大学生不具备应有的社会责任感,那么只能说我们的教育是失败的。因此,树立对国家、民族和社会的责任感应是大学生不可忽视的问题,培养大学生适应新世纪要求的社会责任感是高校必须解决的问题。

Social responsibility is the mission, duties and obligations a person as one of the social members should undertake for society. Social progress and development are based on each person＇ s excellent fulfillment of his duty for society. Besides undertaking the same social responsibilities as any other common social members, the contemporary college students should undertake much more special responsibilities： one is to undertake the responsibility to develop China＇ s advanced productive forces; the other is to undertake the responsibility to promote the development of advanced culture. The sense of social responsibility of college students is the requirement of our national revival in the new period of time, so if the students cultivated by colleges and universities don＇t have the sense of social responsibility, we can only say our education turns out to be a failure. Therefore, to develop the sense of responsibility for the country, the nation and the society is the issue that colleges cannot ignore, and to foster the sense of social responsibility among college and university students to meet new demands in the new era is what colleges and universities have to do now.
