The Application of Modules of Employable Skill to Primary English Teaching Skills Training

"小学英语教学技能训练"模块教学,是根据国家义务教育的《小学英语课程标准》新理念及模块教学法的特点,将英语教育专业学生应具备的基本教学技能分解为游戏设计、英语儿童歌谣、英语教案设计、英语课堂模拟教学和说课5大模块,并针对各模块的不同特点实施教学技能训练的教学活动。教学实践证明,实施模块教学,强化英语教学技能训练,可显著提高英语教育专业学生的综合教学技能,进一步增强就业竞争能力。

Modules of Employable Skill can be applied to primary English teaching skills training. According to the new concepts of the national compulsory ＂Primary English Curriculum Standards＂ and the features of the Modules of Employable Skill, the basic teaching skills which English education majors should possess can be broken down into five modules such as games design,English songs for children,English teaching plans design, simulated English classroom teaching and teaching design presentation. And the teaching skills training can be implemented in the teaching activities according to different features of each module. The teaching practice proves that implementing Modules of Employable Skill and strengthening English teaching skills training can significantly improve the comprehensive teaching skills of the English education majors, and further enhance their competitiveness in employment.
