社会身份认同通常因为不属于建筑史的研究范畴而受到忽视,但近代上海的中国建筑师们却面临着如何建构这一历史命题的重任。在这样的背景下,建筑展览会成为一种重要的社会互动方式。本文通过对这一历史现象的考证,展示出中国建筑师在职业角色、文化属性和社会地位三个层面做出的种种努力和取得的社会效应。

Social identity is usually ignored because it is not in the domain of architectural history. But for the neoteric Chinese architects, its establishment is opportunity as well as challenge. Architecture exhibitions they hold became an important communication method with the public. Through the research on this historical phenomenon, the paper tries to show their efforts and achievements in the identity establishment of the professional role, cultural attribute and social status.
