A new and Simple method for the synthesis of 2, 6-diisopropylphenyl isocyanates was developed by oxidation of monoamides of oxalic acid with Ph(OAc)4. The reaction was carried out in a organicsolvent and it is suitable for practical applications, due to the simple reaction conditions, the inexpensiveand less toxic reagents as well as high yield.
