在东方世界对现代化道路向往追求之时,西方则对现代文明开始质疑反思。应对此一矛盾,东方国家既不能追随西方文明之旧路,专注于现代化;也不能拒绝现代文明,回归东方传统。而是应探索不同于西方、切合东方国家自然需要的现代化道路。其中关键是构建东方现代文明核心价值理念,即拿东方传统的"自然生命"理念与西方盛行的"自觉生命"理念相结合,以"自然"为本原,以"自觉"为主导,通过两者之间的协调,而形成的一种新的生命理念。

From the perspective of modernization of the East,the paper discusses about the innovation of the Eastern cultural thoughts.There is a paradox that when the East world begins to develop its modernization road,the Western countries reflect on the modern civilization.The paper argues that the Eastern countries should not follow the traditional way of western civilization,nor refuse modern civilization.They should try to explore a new modernization road which is different from that of the western countries and suitable for their own demands.Therefore,it is vital to build the core value thoughts of the Eastern modern civilization.
