摘要
本文运用语料库方法研究中国大学生写作中名词性that从句作表语(TSP)的使用情况。研究结果表明:1)中国大学生在TSP的使用上和本族语者相比存在显著差异,中国学生高低水平学生相对本族语者均表现出较少使用TSP的特点;2)对TSP的控制词(control-lingword)进行语义研究表明,中国学生"argument"组和"problem"组的单词使用相对于本族语者明显较少,进一步分析单个控制词可以看出"argument"组的显著差异主要是由于中国学生几乎无法使用由动词转化来的控制词而造成的,而"problem"组的差异主要由写作题材差异引起;3)中国高低水平学生在使用TSP方面和TSP控制词方面均无显著差异,说明学生在此方面进步不大。
This paper aims to reveal the characteristic of Chinese English learners in the use of nominal thatclauses as subject predicative(TSP).The study results show that compared to native English speakers,Chinese English learners underuse that-clauses as subject predicative.Further study of the controlling words of that-clause reveals that there is difference in terms of the semantic groups and individual controlling word between Chinese students and native English speakers.Moreover,Chinese English learners do not show much development in this aspect.
