建筑评论是一门模糊的学科，涉及记者、史学家、建筑师等众多的职业。建筑评论敢于作出自己的判断，在行业内以及行业与大众之间进行交流。建筑评论的理论基础涉及建筑学、美学、历史、城市规划等各个领域。现阶段的建筑评论进入一个普遍化的明星时代，现代主义和后现代主义的论战逐渐消失，折中主义已成为主题，解构主义不再引起社会性的争论，不同理论对立的集团已出现互相容忍和尊重。建筑评论的职责是面向大众和建筑师，要帮助建筑师把思维和推理的方法建立在可靠的基础上。然而，一般的传媒把极少数明星建筑师作为焦点。各种杂志连篇累牍地发表好奇的文章，虚构杰出的人物，有的杂志成为与当代明星串通和同谋的场所。建筑评论的伦理应该是：为大家都认识，为很多人所熟悉，不应是少数人的朋友。建筑评论家是那些自由的、好奇涉猎的、客观地关注建筑领域内各种动态和思索的人。建筑评论家有使大众醒悟的权利和义务。

Architectural criticism is a fuzzy discipline that involves many occupations such as reporters, historians and architects,which has the courage to make its own judgment and does exchnge in the circle and between the circle and the public. The theoretical foundation for architectural criticism involves architecture aesthetics, history, city planning, etc. At present stage, architectural criticism enters a general star's time. The polemic between modernism and post modernism is gradually disappearing;eclecticism has become the theme jdisconstructionism no longer touches off a social debate;the opposite groups of different theories have become tolerated and respected each other. The obligation of architectural criticism is to face the public and architects and to help architects set the method of thought and inference up a reliable foundation,however ordinary media bring a few stars of architects into focus. Curious articles at great length and a lot of made-up outstanding people are published in various magazines, and some become a place colluding and conspiring with contemporary stars. The moral of architectural criticism ought to be recognized and known well by everybody and should not be a friend of a few people. The critics of architecture are that kind of people who freely,curiously and objectively pay close attention to various trends and thoughts in the circle and have the right and the duty to awake the public to reality.
