Theory & Practice Concerning Modernizations in Rural Area

乡村现代化一直是近代中国社会改造的重大内容。以梁漱石为代表的乡村现代化实践者认为中国现代化应走本土化道路,中国传统文化是实现现代化的本土资源",乡村建设"以及"乡村自治"和"乡村教育"等试验,都力图在传统乡村找到中国现代化的本土动力,用传统文化的改良推动乡村建设。其《乡村建设理论》一书从乡村建设问题着手深入探讨了中国教育的功能、性质以及特殊性问题,以致形成了一整套有关乡村教育的理沦,它不仅对中国教育理论的建设和当时乡村教育运动的研究有很重要的学术价值,而且有些观点和实践仍然可为今天的社会主义新农村建设、"三农"问题的解决提供有益的启示。

Modernizations in rural areas have been something important in social reform in modern China. This paper is intended to make a further study of theory and practice on modernizations in rural areas presented by Liang Sushi---a famous scholar in this aspect---so as to serve the current constructions in new rural socialist drive and to offer solutions to the problems concerning the rural areas, agriculture and farmers.
