分析了地图学的发展现状、学科实质、学科特性以及所要研究的核心问题,并据此提出了现代地图学学科体系建构的原则,尝试构建了新的学科体系.认为现代地图学应当由理论地图学、地图制图学和地图应用学三大部分组成;理论地图学又分为地图学总论和地图学史,地图制图学又分为地图设计理论和地图制作技术,地图应用学又分为地图评价与分析方法和地图使用方法.这些学科再细分出若干学科分支.

This paper analyzed the development status,real subject terms,the subject characteristics,the core issues to be studied of cartography,and accordingly put forward the principle of constructing modern cartography and new disciplines system.The paper holds that modern cartography ought to consist of theoretical cartography,cartography and map application.Theoretical cartography is divided into introduction and cartographic history.Cartography is divided into map design theory and map production technology.Map application is divided into map evaluation and analysis methods and map using.These disciplines are divided into some branches.
