"Economic Sphere" and Sub-Regional Cooperation with China's Participation

"经济圈"是指从地域的自然资源、经济技术条件和区位特点出发,通过位于该地域的不同行政区域或不同国别的经济合作,形成某种具有内在联系的地域性产业配置与经济相互依存关系,逐渐发展成为某种特定意义上的经济共同体。中国把长期坚持的睦邻友好外交政策引入经济领域,与周边国家开展次区域经济合作并构建"经济圈",为世界经济的发展做出了重要贡献。

With the vigorous development of regional cooperation,Economic Circle becomes one of the most popular notions of economic theory. However,there still has no clarified definition on Economic Circle.As a matter of fact,the definition of Economic Circle has been expanded during the economic globalization. It is no longer restricted inside a single country,but utilized among different nations or regions in a certain area. Compared to FTA,which is generally adopted in the world,Economic Circle is more flexible and practical in regard to concrete projects. The emerging and developing of regional cooperation has been fundamentally determined by the character of market economy. Since China adopting the Reform and opening-up policy,especially after China＇s entry into WTO,it has introduced the diplomatic principle of developing good-neighbor friendship into economic policies. Therefore,to cooperate with our neighboring countries and build Economic Circle have already been a great contribution of China to the world economy.
