Conceptualization of Experience:McDowell's Thinking about Going out of the Loop between Theory of the Given and Coherentism

作为知识论形态出现的所与论与融贯论陷入了经验内容是否是概念性的,以及经验与信念之间是否具有理性关系的争论中,成为相互对立的两种观点。为了走出这种摆荡,麦克道尔在《心灵与世界》中对"经验"概念做了重新阐释,指出经验本身已经具有概念性内容,属于自发性的能力已经在经验中发挥作用,并由此解决了经验知识的证成问题。这种新的思维方式对于解决当前心灵哲学以及知识论中的焦点问题提供了新视角。

The theory of the given and coherentism fall into controversy what content of experiences is conceptual or not,and whether experience and belief have rational relationship.They are emerging as theory of knowledge which are two conflicting views.In order to get out of this swing,McDowell has done re-interpretation about the concept of experience in Mind and World.He thinks that experiences themselves have conceptual content,and capacities belongs to spontaneity are already at work in experiences.This solves the question of justification of empirical knowledge.This new way of thinking provides a new perspective in solving core issues in current philosophy of mind and theory of knowledge.
