Nowadays, the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） mainly includes surgical resection, locoregional ablation, interventional therapy and liver transplantation. The indications of the four methods overlap partly, and there are some controversial viewpoints about the order of the methods＇ application. It＇ s still a considerable challenge for surgeons to optimize personalized muhimodality treatments for HCC.
