据世界卫生组织统计,全球每年约有127万人死于道路交通事故,照此状况下去,预计到2030年全球每年死于交通事故的人数将达到240万人。道路交通事故已成为危害人类健康、生存和发展的重大问题。
July 6, 2010, the 4th China Road Traffic Safety Forum was held in Beijing. As a result of discussion, participating experts and professors agreed in principle that although traffic accident rate and total number of casualty have been gradually declining, a great effort should be strengthened, such as construction of road infrastructures, in-depth analysis of traffic accidents, improvement auto safety technology, establishment of relevant regulations and rules, and related assessment system, etc.
