The Development and Evolution of Japan's Classical Gardens and Their Feature Analysis

传统的园林景观与特定的地理环境相适应而产生和发展,是地域性历史文化的积累和体现,不同的历史地理环境和社会政治结构造就了不同的造园风格。在概述日本园林的历史演变和古典园林特征的基础上,比较了中日园林的差异,以期使我们在当前的城市景观设计和园林建设中得到启发。

The traditional garden landscape,which has generated and developed because of its adapting with specific geographical environment,was the accumulation and embodiment of regional history and culture.Different historical and geographical environments and social-political structures had created different gardening styles.Based on expounding the historical evolution of Japan＇s gardens and the features of classical gardens,this paper compares the differences between Japanese gardens and Chinese gardens for the purpose of providing some enlightenments for the current townscape design and garden construction.
