This paper analyzes in detail the influences probably caused by the second phase of the governance and beautification project of Taiyuan urban reach of Fenhe River on the flood discharging capacities of Fenhe River Channel,the stability of river regime and the flood control of Taiyuan City,and puts forward the results of the flood control impact assessment and some measures that should be adopted.
