This paper expounds the current development of low-storied structural steelwork residential system,introduces in detail the components,fire prevention,corrosion protection and ecological performance of outer envelope of low-storied structural steelwork residence,and through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of structural steelwork residence and masonry-concrete structure residence,points out that promoting the structural steelwork residence in rural area has certain feasibility.
