The Principle of Beatification in Translation of Song of Big Wind

许渊冲是二十世纪末最富盛名的翻译家和翻译理论家之一。本文篇着眼于许教授诗歌翻译的"三美"论,并结合实例来说明"三美"原则在诗歌翻译中的运用。

Xu Yuanchong is a well-known translator and theorist at the end of the twentieth century,who has made great contributions to the spread of Chinese Literature and Culture into the western world.He sums up his poetry translation theory as＂Art of beautification and creation of the best as in rivalry＂.But this thesis will give emphasis on the principle of ＂beauty in three aspects＂ in poetry translation and a case will be used to illustrate how the principle is applied to translation practice.
