摘要诺思洛普.弗莱是学术界公认的20世纪最重要的文学批评家之一,传统的弗莱研究聚焦于弗莱的原型批评理论。本文则强调《圣经》研究在弗莱学术生涯中的重要地位,指出促使弗莱横跨《圣经》研究和西方文学批评两个领域辛勤耕耘的内在动力是弗莱对诗性语言的意义追寻。
