Difficulties in Performing Bilateral Teaching in the Newly Approved Underg raduate Colleges and the Corresponding Countermeasures

新升本院校开展双语教学的困难主要有：缺乏能开展双语教学的师资，学生不具备良好的英语语言基础等。为此，高校应着重双语教师的选拔，应加强双语教师的外语语言能力的培训，加强双语教学教师的引进力度；并以提高学生的英语水平为首要任务。

In the newly approved undergraduate colleges there exist some major difficulties in performing bilateral teaching： lack of qualified teachers who can perform bilateral teaching, students being poor in English, etc. Efforts should be made to the selection of teachers with bilateral teaching abilities, the foreign language training on bilateral teachers, the introduction of bilateral teachers and the elevation of students＇ English level.
