信用秩序是一定时空范围内经济主体的信用行为所呈现的总体状况与特征。分析市场经济的信用秩序好坏,需要借助合同履约率、消费者投诉率、不良贷款率、劳资矛盾事件增长率、保险诉讼率、上市公司违规事件增长率以及偷漏税率等指标进行度量。基于信用与信任的关系,我们也可以使用信任度这个指标来大体衡量信用秩序的好坏。市场经济对信用秩序的要求,可以从有序竞争、交易扩展、资源配置效率以及市场创新等方面进行考察。
