摘要
近年来,银行效率的研究引起了我国金融理论界的普遍关注,怎样提高效率成为国内银行生存和发展的关键。本文利用数据包络分析(DEA)的基本模型,对中信银行1997年至2007年的效率状况进行了实证分析。本文除了从纯技术效率和规模效率考虑银行效率外,还考虑到银行作为一个特殊企业及自身的金融服务特征,把银行效率分为两个子效率,即服务效率和盈利效率来分析综合效率。结果发现从技术层面看银行综合无效主要归因于纯技术无效;而从分解层面看,综合效率的差异主要来源于盈利效率,而非服务效率。
In recent years, research on banking efficiency gives rise to universal interest of both financial theoretical and practical circles. And how to improve the efficiency of domestic banks has become the key to the survival and development of banks. This article utilizes the basic model based on Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to make an empirical analysis of the efficiency of China CITIC Bank from 1997 to 2007. Apart from the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency and taking into account of the bank as a special corporate and its own financial services, this article studies the bank efficiency by dividing into two sub-efficiencies: service efficiency and profit efficiency. The empirical results prove that technically the bank inefficiency is mainly due to the pure technical inefficiency and the overall efficiency difference comes mainly from the profit efficiency rather than the service efficiency.
