翻译研究自20世纪70年代发出学科成立的宣言以来,经历了"多个转向",学者们从语言学、人类学、社会学、文学批评、文化研究等众多视角竞相解释、描述翻译,出现了百家争鸣的开放局面。《民族、语言与翻译的伦理》论文集是"对全球化语境下的翻译研究的一大贡献",对翻译的政治和伦理的关注是其主线。

Translation studies have undergone ＂several study turns＂ since the declaration of establishing the discipline in the 1970s. Scholars have explained and described translation from the perspective of linguistics, anthropology, sociology, literary criticism and cultural studies, whereupon formed an opening situation with contentions of a hundred schools of thought. The collected papers Nation, Language and the Ethics of Translation has made a great contribution to the translation studies under the globalization context. The concerns about the politics and ethics of translation is the mainline.
