简·爱形象既没有符合激进女性主义者的期望,也并非如部分女性主义批评家所认为的那样,是对主流文化的一种维护。实际上,徘徊于反叛与回归之间的简·爱看似矛盾,实为合理,正好展现了作者独特的女性视角和追求平衡的女性主义理想。
The image of Jane Eyre does not satisfy the expectations of the radical feminists,nor does it seem to comply with the main current culture.In fact,rationality lies exactly in the contradiction between rebellions and compliances,which reflects the author＇s intention of re-evaluating traditional images through the heroine to achieve her own version of womanhood.
