Data Warehouse Modeling and Design for Commercial Banks

数据仓库建模在商业银行决策支持过程中具有重要意义。文章从整个商业银行的业务和管理角度,阐述和分析了商业银行数据仓库建模的相关问题和解决方案:通过界定数据仓库系统边界和确定主要的主题域,获得稳固的概念模型;在最常用的雪花模型基础上融入面向对象思想,构建对象和雪花模型混合的数据仓库逻辑模型。对商业银行数据仓库的构建具有较好的参考价值。

Data warehouse modeling is important for supporting decision.In this paper,standing on perspective of the whole banking business and management,data warehouse modeling for commercial banks is discussed.Through defining system boundaries and identifying the major subject field,a solid conceptual model is created.Some ideas of object oriented technic are dissovled in customary snow-flake model,and a new mixed data warehouse model of object oriented technic and snow-flake model is designed.The method would be effectively referenced to other commercial banks.
