通商口岸在中国的现代化进程中扮演着十分重要的角色。近代中国通商口岸的分布不均和各区域通商口岸地位的不同是造成近代中国近代区域经济现代化空间差异的重要原因。除了现实原因,东部和西部的经济发展的差距是历史积淀的结果,在这一过程中口岸的因素不容忽视。

The treaty ports play an important role in China＇s modernization.The ports of uneven distribution and status are important reasons for different economic modernization in differences regions.Except for practical reasons,the development gap between the eastern and western is results of the historical accumulation,port factors should not be ignored in this process.
