Mao Zedong's Thought on Correctly Handling Contradictions Among the People and its Enlightenment

毛泽东在《关于正确处理人民内部矛盾的问题》中,提出了正确处理人民内部矛盾的基本方法,即实事求是、群众路线、民主集中制和批评与自我批评。针对新时期干群关系的新特点,要构建和谐干群关系,基础和前提是贯彻群众路线,坚持以人为本;基本方式和手段是团结—批评—团结;而一切从我国基本国情出发,正确处理改革、发展、稳定的关系,则是根本出路。

In his article About the Correct Handling of Contradictions Among the People,Mao Zedong advocated the basic ways,namely,seeking truth from facts,following the mass line,sticking to democratic centralism,criticism and self-criticism.With regard to the features of officer-mass relations at the new stage,to build up a harmonious officer-mass relation,we must confirm that to implement the mass line and adhere to people-centered principle should be the basis and prerequisite,that unity-criticism-unity the fundamental method and means,and that to base everything on our factual conditions and to well handle the relation of reform,development,and stability be the practical way out.
