贺昌少年立志,坚信马列主义,学生时代投身革命,从事和领导我国早期的学生运动、青年运动、工人运动、武装斗争、苏维埃建设等革命运动。他曾担任过党、团、军队及其他革命团体的许多领导职务。为了国家和民族的独立与解放,为了人民的翻身,进行了艰苦卓绝的奋斗,建立了不朽功勋,他受到中华民族优秀传统文化的熏陶和激励,对中国革命文化进行了积极的探索,做出了一定贡献。

He Chang believed in firmly Marxism-Leninism when he was small,at school he devoted into revolution and led revolutionary movement such as students movement,youth movement,workers movement,armed struggle and Soviet construction.He served in the Party,League,army and other revolutionary groups of many leadership positions.For the nation independence and liberation and the people he carried out struggling and established the immortal exploits,he made a contribution to Chinese revolution.
