Tools for Clear Presentation of a 110kV Network

Within the scope of a comprehensive convoy project for Energie-Versorgung Schwaben AG (EVS),the network control technology of the voltage levels 110 kV and 20 kV was renewed. This article describes the tools used for clear presentation of the 110 KV power systems, with up to 60 transformer substations on one display. A special network overview gives the control room staff a complete picture of the current network state and the node loading for the individual stations at all times. It also immediately provides all the information needed to detect the type and extent of faults. The network equipment can be controlled directly from the network overview display, and as another special feature - the effects of these switching actions can be simulated and checked before they are actually executed, by means of the preview function in the network overview.
