This paper analyzes the causes and basic features of predicament in Ideological and Political Theory teaching in local colleges from the perspective of the educators and the educated. To strengthen the teaching of Ideological and Political Theory in local colleges, teaching and learning reforms must be attached great importance to improve the teaching effectiveness; What＇s more, local cultural resources must be taken full advantage to innovate the practical teaching mode of Ideological and Political Theory course so as to enhance the actual teaching effect.
