黏膜组织是HIV感染机体的天然门户,也是大量的HIV病毒的存储库,因此在黏膜部位诱导有效的HIV特异性抗体和CTL免疫反应对预防和清除HIV感染具有重要的作用。而无论是在HIV入侵黏膜的过程中还是在特定黏膜部位诱导有效的保护性免疫反应,黏膜淋巴细胞的归巢都起到了关键的作用。深入了解黏膜淋巴细胞的归巢和HIV感染以及诱导保护性免疫反应之间的相互作用关系,对于发展有效的艾滋病疫苗策略意义重大。
Mucosal tissues are the primary sites for natural HIV infection and transmission and serve as a major reservoir for HIV replication. Therefore, the induction of effective immune responses at the mucosal entry site, including HIV-specific antibodies and CTL, is very important to prevent HIV infection or to clear viral reservoir. It has been recognized that the homing of mucosal lymphocytes play a key role both in HIV invading and inducing immune response. Understanding this process has important implications for developing effective strategies of AIDS vaccines.
