On Defending the Aesthetic Value of "Having Painting in Poetry"

摘要 "诗中有画"的美学价值一直受到人们的质疑,主要因为它在四个方面面临着挑战:一是诗中之画能否可画、能不能与物质绘画相等同;二是诗歌追求绘画式形象性是否有意义;三是对立面的诗画能否统一;四是莱辛的诗画观是否意味着"诗中有画"的美学意义寿终正寝。因此,要恢复"诗中有画"应有的美学地位和价值,就需要对这四个方面一一厘清,以正视听。 The aesthetic value of "having painting in poetry" has always been questioned by people because it is faced with the following challenges. First, it remains unclear whether the paintings conceptualized in poetry are paintable and can equal tangible paintings. Second, it is doubtable whether the audio-visual imagery that poetries strive to attain is of significance. Third, can there be unity of opposites between painting and poetry, the two disparate forms of art. Last but not least, it is to be clarified whether Gotthold Ephraim Lessing’s views about poetry and painting have brought an end to the aesthetic value of "having painting in poetry". Therefore, attempts at the resumption of the aesthetic role and value of "having painting in poetry" requires clarifications of the above four challenges in order to ensure a right understanding of the issue.
