摘要 幽默不同于一般的语言交流,英语言语幽默在交际中的理解和推理过程有其独特之处。本文以不和谐-消解理论对幽默的解释为出发点,继而应用关联理论对英语言语幽默的赏析过程进行分析。试图对英语学习者欣赏英语言语幽默有所启发,证明赏析英语幽默可以提升英语学习者的内在学习兴趣,激发其融入型学习动机。 Humor is different from other kinds of communication with its complexity and so is the process of its understanding andreasoning.Humor,which is formed on the basis of incongruity-resolution theory and Relevance Theory,can be appreciated fromfour cognitive pragmatics’perspectives.English learners can be compensated emotionally for their additional effort making in theanalysis and appreciation of the English verbal humors.So the analysis and appreciation of the English verbal humors can helpstimulate second language learners’integrative motivation.
