Information commons is a new kind mode of information service,this article discussed that the transfer process of library information service from traditional literature guarantee to subject characteristic information service should make full use of IC idea.The principles of subject characteristics,reader requirement,space combined,technical support and standard management should be followed to construct biomedicine characteristic subject reading room.
