足球比赛中,射门是进攻打法中最重要的一环。射门是比赛中应用进攻技、战术的综合反映。比赛中不论个人行动还是整体配合,也不论传球、接球、运球还是跑位等都是围绕一个最终目的,即创造更多的射门机会,力争射门得分。5届杯赛总场数296场,共进球735个,平均每场进球2.48个。随着后三届参赛队及赛场数的增加,进球数也多于前两届,表明队数、场数与进球数呈正相关。利用显著性检验所得P值>0.05,说明5届世界杯进球没有显著性差异。下半时进球多于上半时,5届相同,是其一般规律与总趋势。前锋进球最多;前卫次之;后卫进球较少。在近5届世界杯足球赛中,有90.9%的进球是通过5次以下传球射进的。
