"商团"特指近代中国以商人为主体成立的一种准军事组织,源于上海之万国商团。这支由公共租界工部局直接指挥的武装部队组建于1853年,从它诞生的那一天起,担当了维护租界当局统治的角色,严重侵犯了中国的主权。万国商团犹太分队是锡安主义的成功之作。犹太分队虽然没有参加过实战,但是积极救助来沪犹太难民,在日本侵略者进攻上海时布防公共租界,事实上也支援了反法西斯的斗争,其历史作用主要还是积极的。

'Business Group' originated from the Shanghai Volunteer Corps and was a quasi-military organization with merchants as their main part. Since it was set up in 1853,the group protected the authority of concession area and violated the Chinese sovereign rights. The Judaic Business Group was the result of Zionism. It helped the Judaic victims and defended The Shanghai International Settlement when Japan invaded Shanghai,and therefore played a mainly positive role in history.
