The causes for the rising of women’s liberation movement in Guizhou in late Qing Dynasty and the early years of the Republic of China mainly include the social development,the drive from the pioneering males,the publicizing of women’s liberation thought by news media,the new information brought by western missionaries and the improvement of women’s self-consciousness.
