From the feminist perspective,we may find that Andersen intended to discuss how women can find their value in The Little Mermaid.The fairy tale reflected Andersen＇s attention to and thought about women＇s fate.However,as a male writer,he could not get rid of the constraint of traditional androcentrism.While showing his sympathy to women,he also had discrimination against them.And it is impossible for him to point out a correct way for women to find their own value.
