Challenges and Strategies for Russian Natural Gas Industry

2009年,俄罗斯天然气开采量"陷入低谷",丧失世界最大天然气开采国地位。美国页岩气的迅速开发、卡塔尔等国液化气产量的急剧增加、俄罗斯长期合约气价定价方式的缺陷、欧洲页岩气储量的可能开发等,都给俄罗斯天然气工业带来巨大挑战。面对严峻挑战,俄罗斯迅速调整了对策,即在经济转型的同时,仍把燃料能源工业放在经济发展的首位;扩大天然气开采,加紧斡旋和实施"北流"与"南流"跨境输气管线项目;调整天然气销售战略,巩固并扩大天然气销售市场。

The exploitable amount of Russian natural gas has been in a tough time. Russia has lost her leadership in the worldwide natural gas exploitation. The rapid exploitation of U.S. shale gas, the sharp increasing of liquefied petroleum gas output in countries such as Qatar, Russia's long-term contract pricing deficiencies in gas prices and the possible exploitation of European Shale gas bring great challenges to Russian natural gas industry. Under that situation, Russia has quickly adjusted its strategies, that is to put the fuel energy industry in the first place,expand the natural gas exploitation, speed up the implementation of the 'North Stream' and 'South Stream' cross-border gas pipeline projects, adjust the gas marketing strategy to consolidate and expand the natural gas sales market.
