The establishment process of J.J.Thomson's atomic structure model and its positive effect on the studies of atomic structures are discussed in this article.Based upon these discussions,it is concluded that both Bohr's ‘stable state’ proposal and his work on the relations between electron numbers in an atom and its properties are largely affected by J.J.Thomson's model.
