摘要
通过对一项自主学习情况的调查和实验,分析了英语专业本科新生自主学习能力培养中所出现的问题和解决的办法。以精读课堂为中心,开展有利于自主学习的多种形式的活动,使课堂成为学生自主学习语言的天地,又使学生的语言学习向课外延伸,将课内、课外学习连成一体,是培养学生掌握自主学习策略、转变依赖性思维从而提高自主学习能力的有效途径。
Based on the analysis of the surveys and experiments on some English majors, the paper offers proposals as to how to foster autonomous learning in English major freshmen. Making fullest use of the Intensive Reading class to organize various activities may help learners not only focus language learning in class but also extend their learning outside class. The unity of inside and out- side class will contribute to developing students' learning strategies, changing their teacher-centered mindset, and eventually, improving their autonomous learning ability.
