It analyzes the status of the computer network construction and mass of information and necessary of selecting the new database management tools under the condition of the network environment. It explains importance of hydro - geological information processing, characteristics of PowerBuilder, the tool is taken to design and develop the C / S mode and establishes the hydrologic information management system in Dalian.
