A Study on Translatability and Obstructions of Classical Poetic Image

从语言与文化的角度对中国古诗意象的转译进行研究是文化意象研究的重要途径。由翻译的本质及人类文化审美的共性可知古诗意象的可译性。同时,通过分析中西语言表达的差异及文化中审美情感表现的差异可得出古诗意象转译的局限性。因此,跨越文化差异在意象转译中尤为重要。

To discuss the translatability and translation difficulties of Chinese classical poetic image through ana lyzing linguistic and cultural commonness and difference is an important way of cultural image study. Through analyzing the essence of translation and the commonness of human cultural aesthetic conception, we gain the translatability of poetic image. At the same time, language difference and different performance in aesthetic sensation between Chinese and western people lead to some difficulties in image translations. Through study, the importance of surmounting cultural difference in image translation is mentioned.
