Functional Analysis on Textual Coherence of Conceptual Metaphors

用语篇分析的认知连贯理论与概念隐喻理论相结合,对由概念隐喻实现的不同类型语篇进行分析。概念隐喻以其跨域映射的工作机制将语篇的信息纳入其统辖范围内,构建了语篇结构。概念隐喻的连贯性和系统性使语篇在概念和语篇两个层次上具有连贯性;语篇的衔接手段主要通过概念隐喻的隐喻表达式,特别是词汇衔接来实现,隐喻表达式的隐喻义突显了语篇的中心思想。

By integrating conceptual metaphor theory with cognitive approach to coherence,this paper studies the textual coherent function of conceptual metaphor.The empirical part of this paper is composed of two different types of texts realized by conceptual metaphor,including a prose and a poem.Through an empirical analysis,this paper arrives at some conclusions that cross-domain mapping of conceptual metaphor governs text information and constructs an overall text frame,that textual cohesion is realized by metaphorical expressions,especially lexical cohesion and that metaphorical meaning is synthesized to realize the topics of texts.
