摘要 阅读是人类一项重要的终生技能,影响着人们的学习和工作。调查研究指出,大部分男学生对阅读课缺乏兴趣和热情,阅读能力也较女学生低。本文讨论了其中一些原因,包括性别角色、阅读习惯、兴趣搭配等,并提供了教师如何提高男学生阅读兴趣的一些方法,从而最终协助男学生赶上阅读进度,平衡学校男女学生阅读能力的性别差异。 This paper discusses male students' challenges in reading literacy. Reading is an essential skill throughout people' s lives that greatly affects their studies and careers. Gender is one of the salient aspects of influencing literacy. There is research evidence that the majority of male learners are apt to feel the literacy lessons are and they show little interest and passion for it. This paper addresses several reasons:the gender role, boring reading habit and mismatched interests. As a result, the paper suggests a few solutions to raise boys' reading interests with the cooperation of language teachers,so as to assist males to catch up with their classmates and maintain a balance between literacy study among the boys and the girls in class.
