癫痫或拟诊断癫痫的患者在发作或发作间期的心电图(ECG)异常较常见。目前随着同步脑电图-心电图(EEG-ECG)描记在临床上的应用,对癫痫或拟诊断癫痫患者的异常ECG的认识水平亦在不断提高,一旦癫痫发作可根据同步ECG分析,及早发现恶性心律失常和心脏损害,对预防和筛选癫痫患者中突然的非预期性死亡有重要意义。
