Course experiment is a very important part in the course of database system principles.Database performance tuning experiments are adopted as the experimental content in the course teaching,and the experimental process,requirements,content arrangements are analyzed in the paper.Performance tuning is an important task in database system applications.The experiments require integrated computer skill and application practice,which are very suitable for the inquiry teaching in course of database system principles.The performance tuning experiments have been practiced in the undergraduate course teaching and the effect is very good.
