Excitation system is an important component of generator.In the process of power system operation,excitation system plays an important role.An excellent excitation system could not only ensure normal operation of generators,provide normal power,but also improve the economic and technical target of power system.This paper described the excitation system failure symptom of chai river power station,analyzed and summarized the whole process.
