摘要
本文从交际能力的概念及其发展出发,指出交际能力作为英语专业培养目标的局限性,并提出跨语言跨文化交际能力概念。文章指出,跨语言跨文化交际能力有其语言学基础和课程论基础;英语专业的跨语言跨文化交际能力培养目标决定了跨学科课程设计的必要性,反映了英语专业的跨学科性和高校外语教育改革的趋势。文章进一步论述了外语专业跨学科课程改革的实现路径和管理体制,并呼吁加强外语专业跨学科课程研究及跨学科研究生培养。
Based on the concept of communicative competence and its development, this paper points out the limitations of taking communicative competence as the educational goal for English major, and proposes the concept of translingual and transcultural competence (TFC). It argues that TFC has linguistic and curriculum theories as its rationales, and that TI'C should be the educational goal for English major, which entails the interdisciplinary curriculum for English major, and reflects the interdisciplinary nature of English major and the trend of foreign language education reform. The paper also discusses the route and governance of this curriculum innovation, and calls for the interdisciplinary curriculum research and foreign language postgraduate programs.
