Neuropathic pain is a chronic pain caused by nervous system lesions, which pathogenesis is complex. It has been shown that ectonic discharge is the electrophysiologic base of allodynia, and the change of ion channels is a major cause of ectonic discharge. This review focuses on changes of some important ion channels in neuropathic pain reported in available literature.
