语料库驱动的扩展意义单位研究——以最高程度强势语为例

A Corpus-driven Study of Extended Units of Meaning:Taking Maximizers as an Example

Sinclair提出“扩展意义单位”的概念、构成及研究方法。语料库驱动的扩展意义单位研究具有操作性强、描述全面、客观准确等特点。本研究以其为理论框架，以最高程度强势语为例，进行语料库驱动的同义词辨析研究。结果显示，以最高程度强势语为节点词的扩展意义单位在搭配模式、类联接模式、语义选择趋向和语义韵方面存在诸多差异。

The study reported in this paper probes into the concept, structure and research method of Sinclair＇ s descriptivemodel of extended units of meaning （ EUM）, and applies the model to differentiate the synonymous maximizers in English. The findings show that there are differences between the 8 maximizers in terms of collocation, colligation, semantic preference and semantic prosody. The EUM study is characterized by workability,comprehensiveness, objectivity and accuracy of description.
